Jigariyaa is the 2014 Bollywood romantic movie. The film is a debut
for Harshvardhan Deo and Cherry Mardia. The theatrical release poster of the
film was unveiled by Rohit Shetty on 26 August 2014.
The film is inspired
by true events, Jigariyaa tells the story of Shyamlal Gupta and Radhika Sharma
based in Agra, the city of love. Shyamlal is the only son of his father and
spends most of his time in writing poetry. On the other hand Radhika is also
the only daughter of her father. She is a well educated and courteous girl who
helps her father in social work.
Shyamlal falls in love with Radhika at first sight, who is living with her grandmother. When they get close to each other, the destiny takes the two lovers apart. The story of this film is compared by Shakespeare’s Romeo Juliet, Dil Wale Dhulani Ley Jaein Gay and the recent one Goliyoon Kis Rasleela Ram-Leela. The film has number of romantic songs including title song Jigariyaa sung by Javed Bashir and the song Ishq Hai by Javed Ali.
